Single?

I am posting twice in less than a week! I think I am really going to have to steal Julie's G.I.S.T.
Anyway, we went to George's cousin Teddy's wedding last night in Deland. It was very nice and the kids had lots of fun, so did George and I. Actually, George probably would have had more fun without me there! Maybe I am old fashioned, but I would NEVER introduce myself to someone and immediately follow that with "I'm Single." The odds are just not on your side. The other person either 1) is not single 2) is single but not interested or 3) is single and interested. So, I only see about a 33% chance of a good outcome with this introduction, and a 66% chance of looking stupid! The reason I am going on about this is because about five minutes after we arrived at the reception I had taken Kylie and my niece Raegen to the restroom. When I walked out I saw George standing there with his newly married cousin and two girls in front of them. His cousin had just introduced George to them, and the ladies were obviously behaving very flirtatiously and I was paying close attention. By the time I made it over there the ladies had walked off. I asked George what had just happened and he told me that his cousin introduced them to George, and they told him they were single. George quickly (and smartly) let them know that he was married with two children and one on the way. I was just really surprised that girls actually behave that way. I always thought it was better to let the man approach you, etc. But of course, maybe that is why I am not single. :o) I guess that's a lesson to any single ladies who might read this!

Kylie danced her little heart out with her Aunt Jenny. She was scared to dance but Jenny got her out there and she warmed up and had a terrific time wearing Jenny out! We got to see George's brother and sister and their kids and it was really nice.

Happy 2009!

OK, I let another month go by! Bad Tracie!

Let's see, we had a really nice Christmas at home. Kylie woke us up early to let us know that Santa had come! The kids had a great time opening all their presents. Between my mom and sisters and us and Santa (of course) they had a ton of gifts! Colin got a new train set and one of his favorites is his Handy Manny Tool Box. He carries it around and tells me "bye, I am going to work!" Kylie loves all her princess stuff and her clothes, she has been in princess mode since Christmas.

We moved Colin into a big boy bed. He did the toddler bed for a couple weeks and he did great. Now he has a bunk bed in his room, he sleeps on the bottom. He has Cars bedding to match his walls and his ceiling fan, etc. It's really cute. Of course, with his new found freedom, we have learned that after we put him to bed, he brings half of his toy box into his bed and plays until he is really ready to go to sleep. It is so cute! He has cars and trains and books, you name it, it's in his bed. There is barely room for him to sleep!

We are doing good, also. Just getting ready for Emily's arrival in March! It seems like we just found out I was pregnant, I can't believe she'll be here so soon! Kylie is getting very excited and is always asking me how much longer until March. I went through all of Kylie's clothes and have everything labeled by size in plastic bins, I am so proud of myself! George cleaned out the garage finally, it has basically been a storage unit since we moved here!

We are looking forward to a good year with good things and lots of changes. We will be adding our final family member and Miss Kylie will be starting Kindergarten. Happy New Year!!!
